Overview
Industrial and telecom equipment needs reliable power conversion, often with isolation, wide input ranges and low noise. Hawun supplies the AC-DC supplies and isolated DC-DC converters that these systems rely on, and BeiLuo supplies them as an authorized Hawun distributor with FAE support for power design.
From Mains to the Board
A mains-powered system begins with an AC-DC supply that converts the mains into a low-voltage rail. A universal-input supply such as the HW-AC-ENC-30W-12 covers the common worldwide mains range, so one design serves several markets, and its enclosed format simplifies integration into equipment. From that rail, isolated DC-DC converters such as the HW-DC-DIP-10W-24S12 create the further rails that the boards need, with isolation that breaks ground loops and protects sensitive circuits from the input rail's noise and transients.
Why Isolation Matters
Isolation separates the input and output grounds, which prevents ground loops that would otherwise inject noise into a measurement or a communication link. It also protects the output circuit from the transients of the input rail and supports safety isolation where required. In industrial and telecom systems, that protection is often the difference between a reliable product and an intermittent one.
Wide Input and Rail Variation
Industrial and telecom rails vary more than a nominal figure suggests, because of load changes, transients and brown-out. A wide-input converter covers that variation with margin, so the output stays regulated across the conditions the equipment will meet. The input range must be chosen against the worst-case rail, not the nominal one, and the input filter must handle the transients the rail can present.
Noise and Filtering
Switching conversion is efficient but noisy, and the noise must be managed. Keep the switching loop small, use the input filter the datasheet recommends, and post-regulate a sensitive rail where the residual noise is still too high. The layout around the converter decides the noise as much as the converter itself, so it deserves the same care as the electrical design.
Monitoring and Protection
Industrial equipment benefits from measuring its own load, both to control it and to protect it. A current sensor such as the HW-RCS-AC-EV measures the load for monitoring and protection, and its accuracy and response time set how well the system protects itself. Pairing the power conversion with current sensing gives a complete picture of the equipment's power state.
Why BeiLuo
We hold mainstream Hawun converters, supplies and sensors in regional stock and ship them with import, origin and RoHS documentation. Our engineers support converter and supply selection, EMC and thermal planning and sensor integration from concept through production, and we can supply samples for bench validation.
Validating the Power Design
Before production, measure the efficiency across the load range, measure the ripple and the conducted emissions, and confirm the temperatures under sustained load. These measurements decide whether the design meets its efficiency, EMC and thermal requirements, and they are far cheaper to take before the board is committed than after. BeiLuo's power lab performs these measurements and can supply samples for validation.
Next Steps
Send your input, output and power requirements and we will propose a converter and supply set, confirm availability, and supply samples for validation.
